This was our first Short Film Project as a Year 1 student and I took on the role of a Producer for this project. This assignment has allowed me to gain better understanding of what it's like to produce and the responsibilities a producer has. Through this experience, I have gained a stronger organizational skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve on the spot. I also communicated effectively with the different departments to make sure that they are on track and the deadlines I've given to them is reasonable enough. It also taught me the importance of adaptability and teamwork in bringing a project to life.
This was our second Short Film Project as a Year 2 student and I took on the role of a Sound Recordist for this project. I was in-charge of capturing high quality audio. Some of the things I did in this assignment was recording of dialogues, and capturing ambient sound and foley. In Post-Production, I did audio post, I cleaned up the dialogue and also added sound effects (online and foley) to make sure that the video has smooth transition and it doesn't sound choppy. Through this experience, I have strengthened my ability to capture and record high-quality audio while adapting to various on-set challenges such as construction noises. I also developed strong attention to detail, ensuring clear dialogue and minimizing background noises.
This is our first documentary project as a Year 2 student. I took on the role of a Camera Operator for this project and I really enjoyed being one. I was also able to refine my technical skills like balancing contrast, saturation, and color consistency to achieve a cohesive look.
